Welcome to DefeatingAnxiety.com. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a bit more about us.
Why the ninja?
First of all, I love ninjas! From film and tv, to history and folklore, I love ninjas!
Second of all, and most importantly, the ninja mythology can be an appropriate representation for the type of lifestyle anxiety sufferers live with everyday. Let me explain…
Ninjas were often everyday people, hardworking farmers mostly, who fought their battles in secret and silence. They relied on their family and local community for support and encouragement. And ninjas were notorious for overcoming immense challenges with the simplest of resources.
DefeatingAnxiety.com chose a ninja as it’s brand for this exact reason. We would like to encourage everyone to become an anxiety ninja!

My name is Michael, founder and editor of DefeatingAnxiety.com. I look forward to being your personal ninja guide through the wild west I have come to know as Anxiety and Panic Disorder.
For over twenty years, I have been living with anxiety and panic attacks…dating back to my early twenties. I was just beginning my career. And when I wasn’t working, more and more of my time was spent isolated and caught in the grip of constant worry.
I had no one to turn to and it seemed like nobody could help.
So what was the solution?
It wasn’t until I reached out to other anxiety sufferers that I begin to defeat anxiety in my own life. I learned the benfits of meditation, proper nutrition, and the importance of positive “self-talk”.
Over time, I was able to live a full life without prescription medication and constant medical care. However, there is no cure. Living with anxiety and panic is still a challenge at times. But you can still live a rewarding life when surrounded by others who know exactly what struggles you face.
I encourage you to join me on the journey! Take the next step, reach out, and follow along. This little ninja is waiting to hear from you!
It’s wonderful to meet you and feel free to contact me if you ever need anything.
